Hart EVO-1 loudspeaker

The Hart EVO-1 Audiophile
Loudspeaker consists of four cabinets in total and optional stands. It was
first conceived as a loudspeaker to reproduce modern club music in the studio
and home with supreme accuracy, speed and phenomenal bass. The EVO-1 has more
than achieved this expectation and it is strongly believed that this is the
loudest and best quality club sound reproduction studio and HiFi monitor
loudspeaker ever produced. We were then astounded that this extreme could be
felt in other genres of music. We found that if we separated the bass cabinet
from the mid/high cabinet so that they were interchangeable we could allow for
four different arrangements of the cabinets which provided astounding solutions
for different listening area characteristics as well as different genres of
music. For modern club and digital dance music, the loudest and most detailed
reproduction occurred when the stands were removed and the bass cabinets
mounted on top of the mid/high cabinets providing the most efficient and
resonant free bass reproduction, the bass being directed at the central echelon
of the room where it is most needed. For cinema, using two pairs, corner
positioned, the bass cabinets are mounted on the floor beneath the mid/high
cabinets to establish low seat level full bass coverage between each stack and
provide a wide sound dispersion at seated head level from the higher frequency
cabinets. A single pair in this configuration also provides excellent all round
stereo imaging whilst mounting the bass cabinets above the mid/high cabinets,
stand mounted, gave the best all round performance. Achieving the finest
reproduction of analogue instrumental based recordings such as classical
through to rock was the final and highest hurdle. We achieved this by demanding
less bass but providing enough low frequency to fill out the higher frequencies
to achieve their maximum potential. This was realised by using the stands and
positioning the bass cabinets beneath the mid/high cabinets to obtain optimum
crispness, speed and full range detail needed to produce an extremely wide
soundstage and dynamics where even the smallest movements of performers and
their instruments could be seen as well as a fullness and life from the supporting
lower frequencies that can only be compared to a concert hall performance.
Perfecting insulation between the cabinets and also the floor achieved the best
from each arrangement and each of the four cabinets is insulated by a patented
technique incorporating polished stainless steel cupped plates and bearings, as
pictured, which provide resonance insulation through minimal surface area
contact. The stands are spike and coaster insulated from the floor. Form has
certainly followed function with the EVO-1 and these burr walnut monoliths have
been beautifully and expertly crafted by hand. Each stack incorporates 10
speaker drive units, 8 of which use a patented arrangement, actively powered by
a 500 watt RMS Hart EVO-1 rear mounted panel bass amplifier. Actively powering
these drivers gave extra speed. The use of 8 bass drivers with large motor
assemblies delivers as low as 16hz and did away with the need for large
15"- 18", heavy, hard to control bass drivers and made way for
supremely quick bass response with ringing, bass echo and boom kept completely
under control. The other two drive units consist of a 12" full range
driver in a co-axial arrangement with an independent motor assembled centrally
located high power tweeter. With a sensitivity of 97db 1w@1mtr the 12"
co-axial drivers can be valve powered with beautiful results. Call us on
